I don’t even know where to begin. 2020 has been a rollercoaster for all of us and I for one, cannot wait for it to be over.
We have had some positives and have faired well overall, but this year is straight out of a chapter from of some wacky story. In January we adopted a dog. His name is Bear and he certainly keeps us on our toes.
What appeared to be a calm dog looking to leave the shelter turned out to be a wild snuggle bug that we would not trade for anything. Of all the dogs I have ever had I have never had to reinforce the fence to keep them from breaking out of the yard and chasing my car down the road.
Schools closed, connections to live interactions with the teachers failed. Many tears and phone calls to the school later, we could not be more glad that the school year ended. Vacations cancelled, and limited time spent with those that we love was certainly tough. We are blessed to be able to start to fellowship with those we love again in limited capacity.
On a positive note, we have spent more quality time together and more time with God. Surrounded by a world full of more uncertainty that I have ever seen, having God on our journey has certainly brought peace through it all. So cheers to the rest of the year, may it bring peace rather than sorrow and stress. No matter what it brings, I am glad to be back here with all of you.
