Sometimes we get a little lost when things get a little hectic, but there are things we can do to find joy and peace without breaking the bank. Here is a list of a few things that have helped me refuel and refocus here recently.
Start a blog or journal
Writing down your thoughts and emotions is a simple way to instantly feel unstuck. Whether you share them with someone or throw them away or burn them when you’re done , you have released your mind and freed yourself. Maybe you even have an idea of what to do next.
Open a book
Dust off your bookshelf and revisit an old adventure! Maybe start a book exchange with your friends. Check out your local library (yes they still exist) Once you have your selection cozy up on the couch and dive on in. Sometimes reading about fictional characters or even real people who have been where you are can help you shift gears.
Now this one can be as simple as writing your goals and affirmations on a post it and sticking it to your bathroom mirror. Write down things that you’re grateful for. Focusing on the positives in life can impact your emotional well-being more than you ever thought before.
Start a game night with friends ! Alternate who’s house to go to and watch a movie , play board games, start a book club. Whatever it is you choose for your activity, keep it simple. Have everyone bring a snack or a dish or a bottle of wine. Add some extra fun and make them themed! Picking an inexpensive activity can be as simple as an evening walk or hike in the park.
